I have stopped selling adapter products, but you have other good options!

Sadly, I had to stop producing and selling GIMX adapters, because it was taking too much time away from my other projects. However, I am leaving this blog up as documentation. The good news is that you can get up and running with GIMX these days without any soldering, or grueling Linux or Windows setup work. You can buy a USB adapter directly from the maker of GIMX, then buy a Raspbery Pi, burn my image on it, and be up and running in no time. Instructions are here: Build your own Plug n Play GIMX emulator using Raspberry Pi

  1. Hi Steve, thanks for the informative blog. I made a GIMX adapter and had it working fine via a PC with my Logitech G25 wheel on PS4. I happen to have a Raspberry Pi B 2 and loaded the image you posted on there. I realized I had to change the default GIMX config file for my G25. I did this and it worked exactly 1 time successfully. I know the hardware works fine. I have not been able to get it to work again after multiple power cycles. Any ideas what I might be doing or have done wrong? I can’t for the life of me seem to get it working again even though it is exactly the same setup. I even reimaged the Pi and still the same results. The PS4 and Logitech G25 are both being recognized by GIMX. I ran the diagnostic to see if I would get any error and received none. Only when I unplug the wheel or joystick do I get an error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Best,
    Alex

    1. Sorry for the late reply. It’s strange that gimx wouldn’t work if it gives no error output. But it does happen. If nothing on the troubleshooting page helps, you might want to try getting help on the gimx forums. You might also try upgrading to a newer version of gimx which might have better error handling or reporting. Or start from a fresh rpi image and follow the install instructions step by step. Does the adapter work on the pc? Sorry I can’t be of more help…

  2. gimx_dietpi.img cannot download it. Is it possible to release a new download link for it please? 🙂
